According to the regulation-5:

Are you suffering any inconvenience in electricity supply in the normal weather?  Then don’t wait for more and contact your distribution company. It is the responsibility of your distribution company if any problem occurs in the distribution system. Within 12 hours after knowing about the complaint, it is its first obligation to solve the electricity problem.


If the company fails to restore the power within 12 hours, then you will receive £75, if you are a domestic consumer. Moreover, you will get 150£ if you are a business consumer.

According to regulation-6:

If due to any unexpected problem on the distribution system. Your distribution company fails to supply the electricity to 5000 consumers in the normal weather; then the company will fix it within the period of 24 hours.  It is the responsibility of the company after being aware of the problem to solve it within 24 hours.


If Distribution Company fails to supply your electricity in normal weather within 24 hours, then you will receive extra £75.  If you are a domestic consumer and for business consumers, it is £150.


Furthermore, you will get extra money£35 if Distribution Company fails to restore electricity for every extra 12 hours to maximum£300 for domestic consumers.

How to make a Distribution complaint?
